Seventeen Under 17

Eligibility

· Show is open to women artists ages 12-17

· Two-dimensional work no larger than 3’ x 3’ will be accepted (i.e. painting, drawing, graphic, photography, fiber, metal work, digital art)

· Three-dimensional work (i.e. ceramics, pottery) will not be accepted

· Only original work created by the artist will be accepted

· Work must be framed and wired for hanging. If assistance is needed with framing/wiring, please reach out to Betsy Ford: elizabetha.ford1@gmail.com

Juror

This is a juried show, meaning pieces will be judged and must be accepted to be part of the show. Members of the Women Artists: A Celebration! Committee act as jurors. Seventeen works will be chosen.

Entry

Entries will be accepted online at ywcamahoningvalley.org/women-artists. Artists may submit up to 2 pieces. All entries must be received by April 6, 2026.

Acceptance

Artists will be notified by email of acceptance status May 12 - 13.

Delivery & Hanging

Accepted work can be hand delivered to YWCA June 22 - 23 between 12 - 5 pm. Work must be delivered by 5 pm on June 24 or it will not be hung in the show. Accepted work that is shipped must be received by June 14.

Work must arrive wired for hanging. No saw-tooth or single-loop hangers. To wire: fasten eyelet 1/3 down from top of frame; cut wire 10-12 inches longer than frame width; loop wire twice through eyelet then wrap around main wire and back over previous wrap. Pull wire taut and attach other end.

The Committee has the right to reject entries not meeting requirements. Work may be disallowed if it is not suitably prepared for exhibition or not adequately represented in entry.
