Valley women will gather at Eastwood Event Centre on October 19

YWCA Mahoning Valley is hosting its annual Y’s Women: Power of the Purse fundraising event on Thursday, October 19, 2023 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Eastwood Event Centre in Niles. Dr. Lena Esmail, owner and CEO of QuickMed, will be the keynote speaker.

The event highlights the “power of the purse” and the impact that women can have on the economic empowerment of their community. Proceeds benefit YWCA programs and services in Trumbull and Mahoning counties.

Y’s Women focuses on peer-to-peer fundraising using a Table Captain model. Table Captains are responsible for inviting 7 guests to fill their table. The event includes basket raffles, a designer purse auction, hors d’oeuvres and testimonials.

Admittance is free but donations to support YWCA programs are gratefully accepted.
