Kristin Kim Cherie Howard
Attorney Kristin K.C. Howard, the daughter of retired Attorney Cherie Howard and the late Michael Howard, was raised by her mother on the southside of Youngtown.
As a young child, Kristin remembers going to the YWCA for camp and attending meetings with her mother. Four decades later, Kristin started supporting the YWCA as a donor and, since 2023, as a member of the Board of Directors.
In 1996, Kristin graduated from Wellesley, with honors, and then attended Harvard Law School. After graduating from Harvard Law, in 1999, Kristin moved to Cleveland where she worked as an associate at two large law firms and served as the general counsel to Cleveland Hopkins Airport. During her early years as an attorney, Kristin developed a love for corporate transactional and healthcare work.
Her experience as a corporate healthcare attorney enabled Kristin to return to Youngstown as the Chief Legal Officer of Forum Health hospital system. Kristin served in that role from 2007 until the hospitals were sold in 2010. Kristin then served as the General Counsel and Director of Compliance for Pharmacy Data Management, Inc. (PDMI), a pharmacy benefits management company that is in Poland, Ohio.
In 2016, Kristin left PDMI and joined Elevance Health (f/k/a Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield) as the State Lead Attorney supporting the Ohio commercial business team. Currently, Kristin serves on an Enterprise Legal team that supports new markets, individual products, the implementation of federal and state regulatory mandates, and special projects that impact all lines of business.
In her free time, Kristin enjoys traveling, attending concerts, gardening, baking, and spending time with her family.
